Introduction

HomeHavenWorks (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides home improvement, renovation and maintenance services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, book a visit or use our services. By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

We treat your personal information with the same care we bring to your home. We collect only what is reasonably necessary, we explain how it is used, and we handle it in line with applicable data protection laws. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

2

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: details you give us directly, details created while we carry out your job, and technical data collected automatically when you use our website.

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property.
  • Project details: the type of work, photographs, measurements, preferences, budget and schedule.
  • Payment records: invoices, receipts and payment references. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Website data: device type, browser, pages viewed and approximate location, gathered through cookies and similar tools.

You choose what to share with us. If you decline to provide certain details, we may not be able to prepare an accurate quote or complete the work safely.

3

How we use your information

We use your information mainly to provide the services you have asked for. That includes preparing quotes, arranging site visits, assigning the right technicians, issuing invoices and following up after the job to make sure you are satisfied. We also use contact details to respond to enquiries and to send important notices about your booking or warranty.

With your consent, we may send seasonal maintenance tips and special offers. Every marketing message includes a simple way to opt out, and you can also tell us directly that you no longer wish to receive them. We may also use information to improve our website, train our teams, prevent fraud and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4

Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary, and only with people who are bound to keep it confidential. This includes our own team members and subcontractors who need your address and job details to visit your home, and trusted providers who help us with payments, messaging, website hosting or accounting.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example in response to a lawful request from a court or regulator, or where it is needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our customers, our team or the public. If our business is ever sold or reorganised, your information may be transferred to the new owner, who will be required to honour this policy.

5

Photos & site records

We take photographs and short videos before, during and after a project. These help us record the condition of the property, agree the scope of work, resolve any disagreement and support warranty claims. We take care not to capture personal items, documents or people wherever possible.

Your permission first: we will only use images of your home in our portfolio, website or social media after you agree, and we never publish your full address or personal details alongside them.
6

Cookies & website analytics

Our website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are essential and keep the site working, while others help us understand how visitors use it so that we can improve pages, speed and content. Analytics data is used in aggregated form and is not used to identify you personally.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the website work, such as forms or embedded maps. Our site may also load fonts, icons and maps from third-party services, which may receive technical information such as your IP address when the content loads.

7

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected. Quotes and project records are generally kept for the length of the workmanship warranty and for the period we are required to retain financial records under law. Marketing details are kept until you opt out.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you. Backup copies are removed on a regular schedule.

8

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and alteration. These include restricting access to team members who need it, using secure storage and password protection, and training our people on confidentiality.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate details corrected, and to request deletion of information we no longer need. You may also withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, and you may object to certain uses of your information.

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correct details that are out of date or wrong.
  • Request deletion, unless we must keep records by law.
  • Opt out of marketing messages using the link in any email or by contacting us.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, we will highlight it on our website and, where appropriate, let you know directly.

Continuing to use our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
